Today.

Today has been a bit of a blur. However, here are some photos of some work over the last week, neither are finished but here goes. This piece is on designers who use the theme of touch both aesthetically and emotionally, so far i've included Alexander Mcqueen, Bora Aksu, Ablino and Eun Jeung.

This piece is sketches of artwork by Diana Diaz-Leao. The exhibition is on at the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool and features dresses and corsets made from barbed wire and shattered glass. The collection is really quite emotional to look, if you get the chance to it's definately worth seeing.

Today I did a little bit of shopping with my boyfriend, here are my purchases:

Good News, H&M Is now online in the UK! I'm so happy as i've been waiting for so long.

Hope you're all having a good week, Chloe x

Derek Lam Autumn/Winter 2010

Darek Lam turned the western look on it's head with his Autumn/Winter collection. He managed to take the cowgirl look and make it more sophistocated with shirts buttoned to the collar, leather pannels, suede fringing, caramel coloured chunky cable knits, geometric patterns and fur balanced upon shoulders. Lam has taken a bit of everything and combined it to create a superbly classy winter look.

Breezy.

I can feel myself becoming rather impatient recently, I need to take a step back and calm down. I went for a meal tonight with my mum and nan, this is what I wore

Shirt - Forever 21, Pleated pants - Zara, both purchased in Dubai. I finished off the look with a vintage bowler hat, a pair of brown brogues and a brown braided belt. A smart but comfy look.

So, my next few weeks are jam packed. Tomorrow, saturday and sunday is work, then monday, tuesday and wednesday i'm back to college, then thursday, friday, saturday and sunday is work, and then college again monday, tuesday and wednesday. I've no idea how i'm going to cope. I'm going into overdrive! This means there will be very little blog posting i'm sorry to say. However, i'll try my hardest to sqeeze some in in places. I also forgot to tell you but i've been made visual merchandiser for our American Apparel store! It's going to be hefty work but it will be worth it. Hope you're all well! And hope to hear from you all x

A LISZTOMANIA

I must admit, i'm just a little bit addicted to phoenix at the moment- especially a lisztomania. Give it a lissen.

Anyway, yesterday myself and my boyfriend grasped the rare bit of sun we had and headed to the park for a picnic. I took the oportunity to take some photographs too as I've negelected my blog recently.

At the moment i'm really liking light oversized shirts, and here i've teamed this one with some tan trousers, a nautical t-shirt and my sebgao deck shoes which creates a casual sailor sort of look. Hope you enjoy!

Back to it

Hello all!
I think it's fair to say that my contribution to my blog has been none existant over the past month. During which my life has been filled with full time work and a trip to Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

So, where to start. My trip was amazing, it was something completely new to me. Dubai is such a beautiful and unique city. It was brilliant, if a little surreal, to see and stand next to the tallest building in the world (Burj Khalifa). We could also see it from the beach at our hotel! It was also Ramadan at the time of our stay, so we got to see a whole lot of culture. The photographs below are taken right in the centre of Dubai, there is also a photo of the Burj Khalifa.

The weather was so hot and humid that the lens of my camera immediately steamed up whenever I whipped my camera out, however it was nice to feel some sun as Britain hasn't exactly had a summer this year. Whilst there, a lot of shopping was involved but sadly not at the likes of Louis Vuitton and Burberry. Nevertheless, there were plenty of highstreet stores in the malls, and i've fallen in love with Forever21, and absolute haven for quirky accessories and affordable clothing. I finally bought a boater hat which i've been lusting after for quite some time and some jewellery:

Yes, I am liking owls at the moment.

Also, my Bloomingdales cosmetic bag!

Adios for now! x
