Geographer

Hello there!

So, the other day the sun was out so I grabbed the opportunity to pull out my old beaten up sandals. I've had them for around three years- they've been super glued many-a-time and were even fixed whilst I was holidaying in Tunisia a few years back but I just can't bring myself to part with them. So the compromise was to keep them but invest in some new ones too. And just my luck, they arrive and the weather turns horrid again- only in England! It's been poaring with rain since Thursday and we've even had some thunder (which, strange as it may be, I quite like).

I've spent my past week doing work, being in work and lusting over things I want to buy for summer.

Anyway, back to the sandals, I'm not sure if you can call the first pair 'sandals' as they're jelly shoes. I saw these in Grazia magazine a few weeks back and fell in love, how many pairs of jelly shoes have you seen which are lace-ups? EXACTLY! I've never really been a fan of the shoes and didn't invest when they came back in fashion a few years ago but these babies were too good to miss! And who'd have thought they'd look s good with socks?

Secondly, these cute Jesus woven sandals from ASOS, you can bag these for just £25! Cute and will be worn with just about everything I own these summer, providing the UK gives us some sun!

I'd also like to say thank you so much to the wonderful messages and comments I received after my last post, you guys are so supportive and I can't thank you enough for your kind words. I hope you are all well and have a little less work to do than I do! If any of you are TwitterERS you here is link.

And one last thing before I go, give this a listen! Geographer - Kites

Much love, Chloe xxx

To my readers

I just logged on to Lookbook to have a browse and it's made me feel a little sad and even more ambitious to get back blogging and posting looks. I feel so out of the loop with the blogging world right now and I'm missing it a lot. A lot, a lot. My work load appears to be never ending and I'm only falling further behind. Roll on the day when I finally finish and never have to go back there. However, right now that day seems to be months, years, centuries away.

I thought I should be at least half decent to let you lovely readers know where I have disappeared to over the past few months, that is, if anybody ever reads this any more... Anyway, come June I will be back in action, with no more of this lack of updates for weeks at a time. I also have a few ideas up my sleeve which I'll go into more detail about when I'm back.

So, thank you for those of you who do read, thank you for being patient with this lost and bewildered blogger, and thank you for being so lovely. For now, you can track my thoughts on Twitter, I started tweeting again a few weeks ago.

Also, I hope you all had a wonderful Easter and ate lots of chocolate!

Speak to you all soon, Chloe! x

I AM ALIVE

Hello wonderful bloggers. I owe each and every one of you a sincere apology for going AWOL this past month. I've had so much to do you wouldn't believe, so have been chained to my desk for what seems like forever. University interviews have started so i've been trying to get my portfolio looking good, and as any of you art students out there will know- it is very stressful! However, it's my Birthday on the 19th so i'm looking forward to that. Roll on Summer when all of this is over.

I'm feeling very detached from the blogging world as i've not blogged in over a month, and haven't had time to read my favourite blogs. I'm going to make sure I put aside some this this week to have a big catch up and will put up some photographs to show you guys what i've been up to. I'll try my best to sqeeze in a cheeky outfit post too.

Hope you're all doing well and aren't as stressed out as me! Speak to you soon, Chloe x

Fake Account.

Just to let you know that this account is not me. Despite myself and friends reporting this account many times over the past two months, facebook has still not done anything about it. Cheers facebook. (Another reason to add to the endless list of reasons for hating facebook.)

So, if any of you are friends with this imposter, please remove them and report the account! Thank you.

New Shoes

Hello my lovely readers. Those of you who read my blog regularly, (which is probably a tiny minority given my inability to post regularly), will know of my excessive love for shoes and, of course, ASOS. So it’s only a matter of time before I post yet another pointless ramble about something I’ve bought from ASOS or indeed something footwear related. Well here is the best of both, and here are my new shoes.

I’m also selling these babies on Ebay, it’s with great sadness that I’m parting with them as I can count the amount of times I’ve worn them on one hand. I bought them maybe a year and a half ago? But my feet have since shrunk and unfortunately they no longer fit. I’ve been hanging onto them for a while but i’m finally biting the bullet and selling them, somebody may as well have some joy from them instead of them lying useless in a shoebox in my wardrobe.

My plans for the weekend are to start and complete a project, listen to lots of Bon Iver and make some chocolate rice crispy cakes. Yummy! For those of you who may not have heard of Bon Iver, Give this a listen- it’s called Skinny Love and it’s bloody beautiful!

Enjoy the weekend! Chloe x

Double Dose

Hello there!

I have a double dose for you today as my laptop has been playing so I was unable to post last weekend. So here goes, some photos from last sunday taken by Alex, I think my love for American Apparel's riding pants grew even more after I bought these in safari brown, I just can't seem to stop wearing them!

And dose number two... My new red bowtie. Is it just me who thinks bowties are underrated these days?

I think there should be one day a year where the nation has to wear a tux, bowtie and bowler hat. Anyway, I'm wearing my new tortoise shell watch I got for Christmas, it look me ages to get round to having links taken out of it. Pretty brief post i'm afraid as I can see my piles of work glaring at me from across the room. Hope you're all enjoying your weekend.

Belated

Being the inconsistent blogger that I am, I'm only just wishing you all a Merry Christmas and also a Happy New Year now. Better late than never though, hey? I hope you all had a wonderful festive season and that the New Year brings you all you wish and hope for. I can't believe it's come an gone already, I’ve been that busy that I haven't know what day it's been for the past two weeks. So, apologies for the lack of posts and Christmas greetings!

I'd also like to say thank you to everyone who’s subscribed to my blog over the past year, never did I think that so many people would be bothered to read the things I post on here. You're all wonderful and I love receiving your comments/emails. I hope that 2011 will bring more blogging for me and hopefully some more free time after the college year is up.

Anyway, back to what’s new. Twice I tried to hit the Boxing Day/post Christmas sales this year and each time was a massive failure. I just ended up buying clothes from the regular collections in the shops and nothing at all from the sales; this has led me to the conclusion that I actually can't do sales. Is this just me? Maybe it's that I’m just too lazy to go rifling through piles of clothes which have fallen off their hangers, and not to mention the desperate and rancorous customers who push and shove. Either way, I’ve decided to stick to online sales, they're much calmer. Which leads me onto the one thing I did purchase in the Christmas sales, my beautiful new suede brogues from ASOS, they arrived in the post this morning!

Ohh they make me all excited, I love them already. I'm also currently very in awe of this colour, though, these probably aren't going to go with much.

Today I also indulged in the film 'The Holiday' whilst I was doing work. This song is featured on it and it got me thinking how long it's been since I haven listened to Imogen heap or Frou Frou (her former band). Anyway, give it a listen.

Happy New year everyone! x
